the week started off with a nice dinner at sweet water tavern. tony wanted to treat me by taking me somewhere nice. the lobster bisque was so delicious, and my crab cakes even more so. we enjoyed simple conversation and i was happy just to be with him.

i’m seriously trying to eat better, i promise! our teams got a bunch of cake to celebrate all the may birthdays. the cake was just too adorable, how could i not get a slice?!

on wednesday night, tony’s team was playing in semi-finals for the season. while i was waiting for the game to start, i enjoyed reading – i’m getting so far in my book! unfortunately, they didn’t win, but it was a really close game! i was really proud of him, he had quite a few really good hits, and i couldn’t help but squeal every time he did something cool.

my second piercing has officially reached three months, meaning i’m allowed to change my piercing. i switched it up and put in my dainty spades from kate spade and paired it with my adorable crab earrings! it was nice having a small change of pace.

while parking at tony’s i noticed a little rabbit and got so excited. i love when i see bunnies, especially in the middle of the day. it stood still for all of thirty seconds before it hopped off. i was lucky that i got a still shot before it disappeared.

sunday brought brunch, well, sort of. we originally planned for brunch but ended up going out for a late lunch in d.c. this rooftop bar was so beautiful. we had so much fun catching up and just enjoying girl time.

after we ate, we headed to a dessert shop (at my request.) the place was adorable and the aesthetic really pleased me. i was so excited to try their cereal milk flavor. i can’t believe i’m saying this but it was absolutely horrible. i took only a few bites before i had to throw it out. it was just so disappointing. you know how much i love my desserts, so you can’t even imagine how sad this made me.

to cheer us up, we took some cute pictures outside. we were all dying in the heat, it was around ninety degrees outside! but we found a shady spot and took a couple shots.

afterwards we headed over to the main part of city center. the pink lanterns hanging dispersed over the main walkways was so incredibly charming. the lighting was a little difficult that day, but we were able to get a couple good shots.

this is mine! i was lucky that there was a moment where most people had cleared out. i had so much fun with my girlfriends, and just taking some time to be out and about this weekend.

the week was quite a bit more stressful than usual. i had a lot going on, but all-in-all, i’d say it was a good one. i’m hoping the week ahead slows down considerably, and there won’t be any major hiccups. focus of the week is to eat better, hit the gym each day, and catch up on sleep! wish me luck ❤
