happy monday, everyone! last week was impossibly busy, but also impossibly charming.
i’m proud to say i went to the gym every day last week! the gym in my office finally reopened so i want to start going to the gym every week day. i ran two miles each day, adding up to ten miles total. i even did some lifting. i’m really proud of myself and am excited to do it all again this week.
last weekend during my adventures with pia and tony, i got a bunch of my favorite red velvet cupcakes from sweetz. i love these cupcakes so much, they’re my absolute favorite. since i bought quite a few, i was able to have one for dessert a couple times this week.
i went on a lunch date with tiffany again this week. after we stopped by teas’n you again and got some desserts. i really love her company, and she’s just one of the most supportive friends i could ask for.
my sister made spaghetti for dinner, and i absolutely love spaghetti! it was delicious, and i even went back for seconds (which is a normal occurrence when it comes to her cooking.)
on thursday morning my mom finally arrived back from the philippines. i was really happy to see her again, and as much as i hate to admit this, it was hard for me while she was gone because i just wanted to call her. i missed her very much and upon her return she brought me my favorite candies as a pasalubong.
that evening was jam-packed, as kaitlyn and i went to look at some more places to potentially live. while we were driving to and from the locations, we ended up seeing an ad for the league that we play on. fxa is the reason we met, and so we couldn’t help but laugh because we can’t seem to escape it even when we’re not playing volleyball.
as if house hunting wasn’t keeping me busy enough, i went out to dinner with cammy for her birthday right after! cammy has been one of my closest friends for over six years now so of course i had to take her out to dinner.
cammy and i are complete selfie queens, so we spent a lot of time taking pictures and enjoying each other’s company. the food was delicious and the conversation was even better. i love her beyond words and i can’t wait to see what this year has in store for us!
the week was nothing but back to back adventures, and so the weekend was no exception. on friday, i had to pack two bags, one for the gym, the other for volleyball. i wore my new adidas kicks for the first time and felt excited that i’m finally comfortable enough to get with the aesthetic that i’ve admired for so long.
saturday i drove up to delaware to enjoy the delaware miss job’s daughter pageant. it was nostalgic to be around job’s daughters again and to spend the weekend with people i love.
the main reason i went to delaware was erica, the gorgeous past miss in the sash. during my term as miss virginia, erica was miss delaware, and ashley was miss maryland. during that year we traveled a lot together, and formed a forever friendship. so since erica was visiting delaware from ohio (she moved a few years back) ashley and i got in the car for yet another road trip together.
we stayed the night in delaware and on sunday we headed out to a cute art studio that does pottery painting, canvas paining, and glass melting. i painted this simple mug – and i was pretty happy with how it turned out. once it finishes firing and i get it, i’ll definitely share it with you all!
the week ended with a quiet night in with a friend and just relaxing to get ready for the monday ahead. luckily, this week is significantly less busy than the last, so hopefully i can recover from all the adventures! hope you have an amazing week ahead ❤
