ksny february haul

kate spade new york’s february collection was inspired by new orleans. fun deep colors, gorgeous florals, alligators and butterflies. this collection had some real statement pieces and i picked up a couple of things that i loved. here’s my february collection haul. the official wallpaper above can be downloaded here.

gator coin purse

as an avid collector of coin purses, this one was love at first sight. the design is so cute. i remember that when they announced that new orleans would feature alligators, i wasn’t sure how much i would like it – but i was thoroughly impressed! made with soft leather, a pink zipper, quality hardware, and a perfect mouth printing on the inside, i have to say this is possibly one of the best coin purses kate has ever done. i was beyond impressed – and my little hamster, chicken, liked to play with it, too. you can get this adorable coin purse here.

scatter dot shirt dress

this dress had me written all over it. the moment i put it on i knew right away i had to have it. i’ve almost never turned down a dress with polka dots and the fit and flare cut has always been a success for me. what’s nice about this dress is the tie can be good for a more conservative look, but if you untie it the outfit is more flirty. 100% polyester makes for maximum comfort, and the dress breathes very well. the cuffs are buttoned, but not too tightly, so slipping  your arms in and out of this dress is a bit easier. this dress was amazing and i would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for something a little more fun for work. the dots a soft pink color, so you can have a little more fun with your accessories. this dress is available here.

bi stretch slim pant

these pants are the comfiest pants ever. made from fabric that screams ponte, they are basically professional leggings. the thicker fabric keep it from seeming too casual, and as the name suggests, they’re meant for more of a work setting. they hug in all the right places, don’t fit too loosely and they don’t reveal underwear lines. featuring no zipper, they slip on and off. these are an absolute must have for your wardrobe. black goes with everything, and if comfort comes with it, what’s not to love? add them to your wardrobe here.

embroidered stripe ruffle top

2018-03-08

i may be a dress girl, but lately i’ve been pushing myself to buy more cute tops. so, when this one came out with the gorgeous embroidering, i knew it was meant to be. what i love about this shirt is it has the simplicity needed to be either casual or formal, but still make a statement. the ruffles on the collar and the cuffs are so feminine, and the floral accents on the stripes make it a real eye-catcher. one of the things i love about kate pieces is that whenever i’m wearing them, i get complimented a lot. i was nervous about the impression this shirt would make, since it’s slightly outside of my normal style choices, but in just a few hours all my doubts were cleared because the reception was incredible. and as you know for me, comfort is key – so this shirt met all the criteria i look for in clothes. dress up your style here.

save the date silver huggies

i’ve always been shy when it comes to hoop earrings. i have a fear of how they make me look and recently i’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone and start wearing hoops more often. kate came out with a large hoop version of these, but i just couldn’t work up the courage to get them, so i got the cute little huggies instead. these are one of my favorite pairs of earrings. they are so comfortable, and i can lay down with them on without them stabbing my neck (which is a huge pet peeve of mine.) They are a simple accent and I can wear them with almost any outfit, so they are my number one go to. I wasn’t able to get a good close up of them on, so I included the official photo from the website as well, so you can get a better idea of how they look. aren’t they absolutely perfect? they even have rose gold version available along with the silver here.

so that’s it for my february haul. i had so much fun with the different pieces that came out this month! i definitely had a few items i really wanted to get but had to pass on – which was so difficult to do. all in all, i’m really pleased with the things i was able to add to my wardrobe and home.

did you have anything you particularly loved in the february collection? ❤
